Singapore Airlines will be introducing more of its flagship superjumbos to Sydney and Melbourne, offering luxurious ‘double bed’ suites in First Class. This is particularly exciting news for Melbourne residents who have been eagerly awaiting the return of the Singapore Airlines A380 to Tullamarine Airport.
From May 16 to October 28, 2023, the A380 will operate daily flights SQ228 and SQ237, replacing the Boeing 777. This move comes in response to the strong demand for travel to and from Australia.
In addition, Sydney will also see a second daily A380 on flights SQ221/SQ232, providing three out of Singapore Airlines’ four daily flights with first-class options. The increased A380 flights reflect the airline’s renewed confidence in the market, as they are experiencing stronger demand for flights to various destinations in Australia, South East Asia, and East Asia.
