Day 1 Home Port – Toronto (D)
Join flight to Toronto. Cross the international dateline and arrive into Toronto in the afternoon. Meet your ScenicTours Tour Director and transfer you to the elegant Fairmont Royal York Hotel for a 3-night stay. Tonight enjoy dinner at your hotel, with your Tour Director and fellow travellers. (Passengers purchasing Land Content only – tour commences at the Royal York Hotel. Please schedule your arrival no later than 5.00pm.)
Day 2 Toronto – ‘SCENIC FreeChoice’ Afternoon (B)
Breakfast at your hotel, then enjoy your SCENIC FreeChoice activity.
Scenic FreeChoice Inclusions: Today choose from (1) a relaxing harbour cruise on Lake Ontario; or (2) a visit to the top of the CN Tower, the world’s tallest structure; or (3) a city tour by Double Decker bus; or (4) an exhilarating Land-and-Water tour by Amphibious Bus; or (5) enjoy a delicious Buffet Lunch at the “Town & Country" Restaurant.
Day 3 Niagara Falls – "Maid of the Mist" Boat Ride (B)
Enjoy a full-day excursion to Niagara Falls, one of the world’s natural wonders. Your route takes you through the lush fruit-growing district of the Niagara Peninsula where you visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Time to explore the village on your own before you re-board your coach and travel along the scenic Niagara Parkway. Enjoy your first, unforgettable glimpse of the falls, then board the “Maid of The Mist" boat for a thrilling ride to the foot of Horseshoe Falls. Enjoy some leisure time to wander on your own or perhaps enjoy an optional activity such as an exciting helicopter flight over the falls or a ride in the Spanish Aero Car over the Whirlpool. Return to Toronto early this evening.
Day 4 Kingston – Thousand Island Cruise – Ottawa (BD)
Leaving Toronto you travel east along the shores of Lake Ontario to Kingston, the gateway to the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River. At Kingston board your boat for a relaxing cruise through the maze of the Thousand Islands, which mark the border between Canada and the United States. Enjoy views of forested islands, elegant homes and magnificent mansions, built early last century for New York’s wealthy families as summer homes. Return to Kingston and then continue through rolling farmlands, following the rivers and lakes of the Rideau Waterway, to Canada’s national capital – Ottawa. Check into the stately Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Ottawa – Quebec City (BD)
Enjoy a brief sightseeing tour of Ottawa to see the imposing Parliament Buildings, Government House and the official residence of the Prime Minister. Travel along the north shore of the mighty St. Lawrence River through numerous French-Canadian villages en route to Quebec City, the only walled city in North America and an important World Heritage Listed site. Check into the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac Hotel, one of the most imposing and prestigious hotels in the world, for a 2-night stay in the heart of this fascinating city. This evening, join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for dinner at one of the many delightful French Restaurants in the Old City.
Day 6 Old Quebec – Montmorency Falls (B)
Quebec City, designated a World Heritage Site by the United Nations, is a photographer’s delight! Enjoy a tour within the walls of the Vieux Carre (Old City) and visit Lower Town, Battlefields Park, the Citadel, Place Royale and the ornate city gates of Upper Town. Truly a remarkable city, every building in Old Quebec tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France with a history dating back many hundreds of years. Continue to the impressive Montmorency Falls as you traverse a landscape characterised by rugged mountains the the mighty St. Lawrence River. Return to Quebec City this afternoon.
Day 7 Montreal (BD)
Cross the St. Lawrence River and travel through the lush farming region on the southern shores of the river towards the cosmopolitan and vibrant city of Montreal. On arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, St Joseph’s Oratory, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt Royale. Check into the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel, in the heart of the city and tonight join your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a ‘farewell’ for dinner at your hotel.
Day 8 Montreal (B)
Tour concludes after breakfast. Transfer to Montreal Airport is included if required.
Day 9 Cross the International Dateline
In flight, cross the International Dateline.
Day 10 Arrive Home Port
Your tour ends with arrival into your home port.
