The Princess Villa

Catering

Gourmet food and beverage provisions is usually arranged for guests with local fresh seafood and produce, as well as any other special requests that you may desire. Your supplies are coordinated for your arrival day & this is all co-ordinated at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival.

Suggestions:

Seafoods – Fresh local baby Barramundi, Coral Trout, Oysters, Mud Crab, Tiger and Banana Prawns, Bugs, Squid, King Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Mahi, Tuna, Nanygai.

Meats & Poultry – Farm fresh local grain fed Beef, Easy Carve lamb roasts, Fillet Mignon, French Cutlets, assorted kebab’s, rib and beef fillets, Veal roast and cutlets, Organic gourmet sausages, Free Range Chickens and eggs.

Exotic seasonal tropical fruits – Mangoes, Mangosteen’s Lycee’s, Custard apples, Papaya, Dragon fruit red and white, Melons, Guava, Chocolate fruit (Sapote) and much more.

A great variety of local farm fresh cheese’s, yogurt’s and milk and vegetables and of course all of your normal supermarket lines.

Activities

Snorkelling equipment is supplied for you to explore the wondrous Great Barrier Reef, you may choose a private charter to the Outer Great Barrier Reef.

* Paddle ski with the turtles and if you are feeling really energetic you may wish to paddle around the island (this takes approx 1 hour ) and only recommended on a calm day , wear a hat and take some water .

* There are cleared paths for nature lovers there are plenty of walks and bird watching Soak up the uninterrupted views from the look outs and be sure to take a camera.

* Swim and play on one of the 2 private beaches or take a plunge into the natural therapeutic saltwater plunge pool.

* Fishing hand lines are supplied just be sure to add bait to your catering list. For the more serious, charter a fully catered boat to the outer reef.

* Hire a catamaran which can be delivered to your beach to sail around the Family Group of Islands.

* Star gaze the night sky and romance by the out fire place that is also designed to make Pizza’s.

* Collect your free-range eggs for breakfast each morning or simply relax in the hammock with a good book.

Take a day out on Dunk Island to pamper yourselves in the Day Spa , or fill your day with aquatic action including jet skiing, water-skiing & parasailing.


Getting There

Regular flights are available from Cairns(CNS) to Dunk Island (DKI). This is a scenic 40 minute flight Baggage Allowance – Passengers may be restricted to one suitcase and one small carry-on item of hand luggage. A limit of 16kg per person applies (subject to loading restrictions).

On arrival at Dunk Island you will be greeted by the friendly staff with a fruit cocktail then shown to the VIP lounge while your luggage is being placed into your transfer coach. You are then transferred with a scenic tour through Dunk Island village to your private boat charter This is a scenic 15 minute boat charter which will take you to your private paradise.

What to pack?

If this is your first time to East Bedarra Island retreat you will be wondering what to pack?

Some suggestions:
Hat, sunscreen, sarong, thongs, camera, magazines or a good book, your favourite cd’s and dvd’s (there is a music, book and movie library but you may have something sentimental) and any other personal goodies.
