About Turtle Island Resort, Fiji
A luxury tropical resort that caters to you
Recognized world wide as the site of both the “Blue Lagoon” films, this 5 Star resort is designed for couples who enjoy romantic picnics for two, intimate moonlit dinners at seaside, horseback riding at dawn, or relaxing and sensual massages. Although Turtle only accommodates 14 couples at any given time, there is a staff of over 150 people on the island to provide guests with an experience of a lifetime. Since it’s opening in 1980, Turtle Island has been hailed as one of Fiji’s (and the world’s) finest resorts.
When Richard Evanson bought the uninhabited island of Nanuya Leva in 1972, he made a commitment to restore it to its original state – not because he anticipated living there indefinitely, but because he perceived it as the natural, necessary, and “right” thing to do. As a result of this ethos and commitment, Turtle Island is now internationally recognized as a prime example of how environmental and cultural sustainability can be integrated into a quality tourist operation.
