Tinos, Greece

Tinos Island is part of Greece’s Cyclades archipelago and has 3 ports – one for speed boats and two serving ferries, highspeed ships and cruise ships. The island has a total area of approximately 194 kilometres and a population of around 9,000.

There are regularly scheduled ferry links that connect Tinos to mainland Greece (Piraeus-Athens, Rafina) through the companies Blue Star Ferries and Seajets. Many tourists come to see the 80 windmills, 1000 artistic dovecotes (which are structured to house pigeons and doves), the Panagia Evangelistria Church and the Venetian Fortifications.
