The Belgravia Suite
Prepare to make yourself at home. Internationally acclaimed British designer Russell Sage had six historic silks rewoven by The Gainsborough Silk Company for the walls of The Belgravia Suites, originally these silks were from the British Embassy in Paris, The Music Room at London’s Lancaster House and Bute House in Edinburgh, the official residence of the First Minister of Scotland. The closer you look the more you will discover, each Belgravia Suite has an entrance hall leading to an elegant sitting room where you will find a handsome marble fireplace and light streaming in onto deep comfortable sofas. As you would expect the well-proportioned bedrooms are exquisite with hand-made furniture in birds-eye maple, mahogany and walnut – all bespoke of course. The large marble bathrooms have separate walk-in showers and some have flat-screen TVs. Suite guests are treated to all The Goring has to offer including service from the hotel’s magnificent scarlet coated footmen and an in-room cocktail service at cocktail o’clock each evening.
The Royal Suite
This much sought-after one-bedroom penthouse suite has been designed by much acclaimed and award-winning designer Russell Sage and has a marvellous balcony overlooking The Goring Gardens.
Take the lift from The Goring’s Front Hall up to the fifth floor where a footman is waiting to unpack your luggage as you make yourself at home. Sip a welcome drink in the sitting room, where there’s plenty of space to kick back and relax. This welcoming atmosphere comes in part from the hand-picked antiques including Georgian glassware and decanters as well as a unique collection of royal artefacts, from handwritten letters and stationery to military regalia. The most astonishing piece has to be a life-size portrait of Her Majesty Queen Victoria which is in the double shower of the master bathroom – protected by aircraft safety glass, of course. The walls of the master bedroom are lined with the same beautiful silk that graced the First Class Dining Room of RMS Titanic 1912, whilst the silk in the bathroom is a match for that which adorns The Throne Room in Buckingham Palace. Guests enjoy a number of personal touches such as a fully stocked bar, fresh fruit, beautiful flowers and delicious handmade chocolates. Depending on your choice of transport, guests are offered either complimentary London airport transfers or car parking in The Mews for the duration of your stay. And with access to a Goring footman whilst at the hotel, guests can enjoy this personal piece of heaven among the Belgravia rooftops. The Royal Suite is perfect for peaceful stays or entertaining guests and connects to a double bedroom making it ideal for families.
About The Goring
History of the Hotel
The hotel was built by Jeremy Goring’s great-grandfather Otto in 1910, after seeing a plot of land situated at the back doors of Buckingham Palace. After removing a public house and several cottages, they built the last grand hotel of the Edwardian era.

The Queen Mother also famously enjoyed Eggs Drumkilbo – a lobster and egg-based dish that still remains one of the most popular dishes in the Dining Room. And its where Kate Middleton spent her final night before becoming the Duchess of Cambridge – In the sensational Royal Suite!
Over the decades it has remained a firm Royal favourite and are the only hotel to hold a Royal Warrant from her Majesty the Queen for hospitality services.
