Holidays to Canada will be back on the table come December 17 when Air Canada plans to resume Sydney to Vancouver flights. Initially four flights per week on Boeing 777-200LR jet, which features spacious Signature Class flat beds in business suites.
Currently the flights will be restricted to fully vaccinated travellers and only with “the Government of Canada-accepted vaccines" – luckily for Aussie travellers this includes AstraZeneca, Moderna vaccines being used in Australia.
The airline notes that these plans “may be adjusted as required based on the Covid-19 trajectory and government restrictions".
More positive news for Virgin’s Velocity Frequent Flyers, Air Canada, under a partnership with Virgin Australia, means that Velocity Frequent Flyers can earn points and status credits on Air Canada flights, and make bookings with their Velocity points.
