Qatar Airways’ Airbus A380 aircraft has made its debut on the Doha-London Heathrow route.
The aircraft touched down in the UK capital for the first time last week, as one of six daily flights Qatar Airways operates to the city. A second A380 service will be added to the Doha-London route this December.
The double-decker aircraft has a total capacity of 517 passengers in three classes, with eight seats in first class, 48 in business class and 461 in economy.
Both the first and business class seats recline to form fully-flat beds, while all passengers will be offered Android-based touch-screen in-flight entertainment systems, with 26-inch LCD TV screens in first class, 17-inch in business class and 10.6-inch in economy.
Qatar Airways took delivery of its first A380 on 17 September 2014. It has placed orders for a total of 13 A380s, along with 80 A350s which will also start being delivered later this year.
