Zawadi offers guests accommodation in 100 sqm villas with en-suite bathrooms and a spacious terrace directly overlooking the ocean. With a relaxed atmosphere and understated elegant beach décor, it is a tranquil, laid back hideaway offering guests an all-inclusive stay with the very best cuisine and personalized service.

There are nine private 100sq meter spacious villas, with en-suite bathroom (with bath and shower) directly overlooking the ocean. The villas have a large spacious private terrace, surrounded by flowering bougainvillea and palm trees with vistas of the Indian Ocean. The villas have a seating area, huge double beds with luxurious memory foam mattresses, closet area, large bathroom with walk in shower, free standing bathtub and double sink vanity.

With breathtaking unrivalled views of the Indian Ocean stretching as far as the eye can see. At the center of the property the cliff recedes, creating a beautiful cove of pristine white sandy beach. Guests can enjoy swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean throughout the day and can go snorkeling straight from the beach.

The Mswakini Beach Bar

The Mswakini beach bar serves snacks, lunch and drinks are served throughout the day in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. Once a month the very special full moon party is organized here as well.

The Drift Wood Dining Room

The Drift Wood dining room serves breakfast and dinner. Only the freshest island produce is used by our chef to create an authentic Zanzibar experience.

The Mali Mali lounge & Bar

Welcome to Rising Sun Dive Centre. The only PADI 5* Gold Palm and National Geographic Dive Centre in Zanzibar. Located on the untouched South East coast of the island, our dive centre was the first to discover this unexplored region. With over 19 years experience we offer you the highest levels of customer care and attention whilst encouraging you to conserve and explore the marine environment. We take divers from complete beginners up to professional level and have a massive variety of diving guaranteeing something for everyone. With our small groups of a maximum of 6 divers per guide we are able to offer you the chance to escape the large crowds and get the most from your dives.

Nature Gym
Don’t run on a treadmill, at Zawadi we have a 900m long jogging trail winding gently through the back garden. Immerse yourself in tropical vegetation while inhaling the fresh sea breeze. At regular intervals there are chin up bars, benches, monkey bars and a special set of weights available for a complete exercise program. From the jogging trail a staircase leads down to the beach for a refreshing swim.

Mangrove Forest
At 10 minutes walking distance just across the Michamvi peninsula is the mangrove forest. Explore on foot and on a small local ngalawa boat this pristine coastal environment were herons nest and crabs are abundant.
