Dunk and Bedarra Island Resorts are undergoing a $10 million upgrade and enhancement program that will help them reclaim the top position in their respective markets. Operated by Hideaway Resorts, the upgrades will allow the properties to take advantage of their unique natural setting and close proximity to the Great Barrier Reef. Around $6.5 million worth of interior design and structural changes are underway at Dunk Island Resort, which will result in more accommodation options for groups and families. Bedarra Island Resort’s $3.5 million makeover involves the resealing and polishing of all floors, external paintwork and introduction of new furniture, fixtures and equipment.
