Robben Island Tour:
The cruise departs from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and takes approximately 3 to 3 ½ hours. This includes the trip to the island and back as well as a guided tour of 1 ½ hours on the island. The guided tour includes a visit of the prison, lime quarry, a local village, shipwrecks and a penguin colony. Currently the two vessels used for transport are the original ferry, which transported the prisoners, and a two hulled catamaran.
