Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd. (“Hainan Airlines") was founded and began operations on May 2, 1993 in Hainan Province, the largest special economy zone in China. Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd. (“Hainan Airlines") is the leading business enterprise in the air transportation division of the HNA Group. It has a fleet mainly comprised of Boeing 737,767 and Airbus A330 and 340 for passenger and cargo transportation. Since 1993, in additional to its main airlines station Haikou, Hainan Airlines has established 8 airline bases in Beijing, Xi’an, Taiyuan, Urumqi, Guangzhou, Lanzhou,Dalian and Shenzhen, as well as an extensive network across China, and connecting Asia, Europe, America and Africa. It has opened nearly 500 domestic and international routes flying to more than 90 cities. Hainan operates international regular flights and offers charter flights to various destinations such as flights between Beijing and Berlin/Budapest/Brussels/Seattle/Novosibirsk/St. Petersburg/Moscow/Khartoum, Beijing to Luanda(transfer in Dubai), Beijing/Xi’an/Dalian/Ningbo/Guangzhou/Haikou to Taipei, Urumqi to Astana, Sanya to Seoul Beijing/Haikou/Hangzhou to Bangkok, Dalian via Hefei to Singapore and others.

Hainan Airlines has been operating safely for 17 years during which it has maintained thorough records of its safety performance. In January 2011, Hainan Airlines became the world’s 7th “SKYTRAX Five-Star Airline".
 
On 22th december 2010, Hainan Airliness was granded as “Best National Airline" at the Travel Industry Annual Meeting 2010.
 
On 22th december 2010, Hainan Airliness was granded with the “Most Innovating Award China" and the title of “Airline with Best Online Booking Service China" by the " Chinese Best Travel Service Provider Annual 2010".
 
In September 2010, Hainan Airlines has been awarded as one of the “100 Green Companies China 2010".
 
On June 19, 2010, Wang Yingming, CEO of Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd., was conferred as “China’s Customers’ Choice for Outstanding Manager” in the Service Star Chinese Consumer Satisfaction Competition organized by the China Association for Quality, the All China Federation of Trade Unions, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and the Promotion Office of Chinese Consumer Satisfaction.

In May 2010, Hainan Airlines was selected by SKYTRAX as the 2009 Best Airline in China, having won the same award in 2008.

In May 2010, SKYTRAX bestowed Hainan Airlines with the 2009 Best Cabin Services Award.

In August 2009, Hainan Airlines won CCTV’s “60 Brands-60 Years Award” as part of the “60th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China Celebration of the 60 Most Influential Brands”, hosted by CCTV.com.
