Day 1: Arrive in Bozeman & Big Sky Country, Montana

Arrive in Bozeman, where you are met and transferred to your ranch accommodations in Montana’s Big Sky country, built on a 110-year-old homestead. Tonight, join your guides for a welcome dinner.
Accommodation: 320 Guest Ranch

Day 2: Big Sky/Gallatin Canyon | On the Ranch

Head to the ski resort town of Big Sky and enjoy a short hike to a waterfall named for the Ouzel, also known as the American Dipper. Savor a picnic lunch, and then head back to the 320 Guest Ranch, where local cowboys give a lesson on the basics of roping. The rest of the afternoon is on your own for fly fishing on the trout pond or relaxing on the porch of your cabin.

Day 3: Gallatin Canyon | Riding with Real Cowboys

After a hearty breakfast, saddle up and ride out on horseback with your ranch’s authentic, working cowboys, who guide you through the surrounding area’s spectacular mountain, river and forest scenery. Visit the community of Big Sky for lunch and a scenic lift ride up Lone Peak at Big Sky Ski Resort. Enjoy a relaxing evening back at the ranch.

Day 4: Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming | Old Faithful

Journey to the west entrance of Yellowstone — America’s, and the world’s, first national park. Proceed to Midway Geyser Basin for a view of the vividly-hued Grand Prismatic Hot Spring. Continue to the Fountain Paint Pot trail to view all four types of Yellowstone’s thermal features, and then enjoy a packed lunch. Drive a short way to the Old Faithful area, for a brief orientation. Remain on hand for the next eruption of Yellowstone’s most famous geyser.

Day 5: Lake Yellowstone | Exploring the Stunning Landscapes

Travel to the north end of beautiful Lake Yellowstone, and then set out on an easy, yet stunning, hike to Storm Point for wide-open views of the lake. After a picnic lunch, return to the Old Faithful area, stopping en route to snap some family keepsake photos. Once there, opt to take the afternoon off or hike to an overlook of the entire Upper Geyser Basin. Meet up later for dinner at the lodge.

Day 6: Grand Canyon of Yellowstone | Out on the Trails

Today, visit the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and spend the day exploring the surrounding trails. Enjoy views of the Upper and Lower Falls from several vantage points and hike near the canyon rim. In late afternoon, drive through Hayden Valley, a verdant playground for the American buffalo or bison — official mammal of the United States — as well as elk, grizzly bears and smaller local denizens such as marmots and coyotes, along the Yellowstone River. Later, arrive for dinner and a relaxing evening at your lodge.

Day 7: Biscuit Basin/Jackson Lake | Backcountry Beauty

Explore nearby Biscuit Basin on a short hike to a spectacular backcountry waterfall. Then, head south to see West Thumb Geyser Basin and other local attractions. Continue to your accommodations, overlooking picturesque Mount Moran, Jackson Lake and Willow Flats.

Day 8: Grand Teton National Park/Jackson Lake/Jackson | Gliding Through Glacial Waters

Visit nearby Colter Bay Marina to board kayaks and canoes for a morning excursion along the shoreline of Jackson Lake. Look for wildlife on the banks as you dip your paddle into its crystal-clear glacial waters, viewing the majestic Teton mountain range that seems to rise out of the opposite shore. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant, and then check out Moose Visitor Center’s fascinating displays on wildlife, mountain climbing and the history of the Tetons range. Continue to your lodge in Jackson Hole. Enjoy dinner in town.

Day 9: Jackson Hole/Snake River | River Rafting

Ride up “Big Red,” Jackson Hole Resort’s aerial tram. At the top of Rendezvous Peak, enjoy vistas of the Teton Valley in Idaho and Jackson Hole in Wyoming. Ride back down for time to explore the village. Then, raft down the exhilarating Class II and III rapids of the Snake River. Tonight, gather for a farewell dinner at your hotel.

Day 10: Depart Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Choose to wake up early for a morning wildlife drive, sleep in or simply enjoy the amenities of your hotel, before transferring to the airport to depart.
