How to get there

This luxurious Iguassu Falls oasis is ideally located near two airports, one of which is found on the Argentinian side of the Falls- namely Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport, and the other on the Brazil side of the falls; Foz do Iguaçu International Airport (found 15km from the resort).

Ipe Grill

Adjacent to the pool, Ipê Grill serves a delicious buffet breakfast.

After dark, the popular ‘gaucho’ style barbecue showcases tender meats accompanied by hot side dishes. And don’t forget to sample the extensive buffet, with a wide choice of salads, local and international dishes and classic Brazilian desserts.

Itaipu Restaurant

The fine dining Itaipu Restaurant offers a blend of Brazilian-international fusion dishes. The exquisite flavour combinations have made Itaipu a popular destination for visiting foodies.

Take a seat inside the restaurant or request a table on the veranda and dine in glorious natural surroundings, overlooking the lush hotel grounds that stretch all the way to the falls.

Bar Taroba

Start your evening with a cooling caipirinha at Bar Tarobá, a cosy, sociable meeting place for drinks.

Cocktail in hand, take a seat on the veranda, surrounded by the lush rainforest, and watch the magnificent sunset over Iguassu National Park.

Later in the evening, sit back and enjoy sultry sounds and Brazilian beats, with live music every evening between 7 and 11pm.

Swimming Pools

At the heart of Hotel das Cataratas is the beautifully designed swimming pool. Heated throughout the winter months (mid-May to mid-August), it provides year-round enjoyment. Nearby, the children’s pool provides a safe environment for the young guests to splash about in.

The swimming pool is open daily from 9 – 11pm.

Tennis Courts

The tennis courts are set within the hotel’s extensive gardens and are available free of charge to guests. 

Ipê Grill is located alongside the court for a thirst-quenching, post-match drink.

Walk to Iguassu Falls

When Iguassu National Park closes to visitors at 5 pm, it turns into a private retreat for guests. Walk to the falls at dawn, sunset and night – when the magical lunar rainbow appears.
