Capella Suite
With a flowing single level design offering cameo views of the ocean and mountains, the Capella Suite features king or optional twin bedding, integrated lounge area and private outdoor deck. High ceilings and marine finishes create a beach house feel, a sense of cool airiness in this subtropical paradise, Lord Howe kentia palms waving outside.
Guests find a stylish refuge in this 45m² space, featuring such lounging treats as the addictive Danish ‘Primetime’ chair with classic Artemide Tolomeo lamp stretching above, ideal for an indulgent read in the afternoon breeze. Textural Julie Paterson wood print artworks add a distinctive ‘laid back’ Lord Howe feel to this suite.
A chic basalt-dressed ensuite offers natural sky lighting and an oversized shower with generous dual heads allowing guests to rejuvenate in the remarkably soft, pure Lord Howe rainwater. Custom Capella Spa amenities use Island botanicals and enriching marine elements to create a sensual Lord Howe bathing experience. An expansive outdoor deck with sumptuous day bed and sun lounge complete a picture of relaxed, rejuvenating island living.
Capella Suites are ideal for one or two adults.
Lagoon Loft
The popular Lagoon Loft is a comfortable mezzanine style 60m² suite with king bedroom upstairs, living area downstairs and private decks on both levels. Generous living area daybeds convert to a single bed at evening turndown for an additional guest on request.
Lavish soft furnishings are custom designed by Julie Paterson of Cloth, and her woodcuts of the rare Lord Howe woodhen line the walls. Basalt bathroom with rainshower and smooth slab vanity is easily accessible from the living area.
Views are sensational from the upper level and extend to the reef-fringed lagoon, ocean and to the mountains rising ahead. The private deck areas with teak armchairs, sumptuous daybed and inviting hot tub provide a relaxed refuge, an ideal spot to unwind with a book, or to quietly contemplate the naturally calm surrounds, endemic kentia palms framing an idyllic island cameo.
Lagoon Lofts are ideal for up to three persons.
Catalina Suite
Perfect for a small family or friends travelling together, the dual level Catalina Suite offers an expansive loft-style king bedroom, ensuite bathroom and balcony on the upper floor. Downstairs features a second king bedroom (with twin bed option available), separate lounge with fireplace (converting to a single bed on request).
A luxurious basalt-walled ensuite bathroom affords easy privacy and convenience, with treats such as handmade soaps, Capella Spa toiletries and organic ceramics. Technology to keep in touch or chillout includes wireless internet connection and Bose music system. Danish ‘Prime Time’ chairs and textiles by Julie Paterson of Cloth create a sense of leisure at its most stylish.
Inspired by the lofty heights of the mountains just outside, vaulted white ceilings and marine finishes create a cool and airy feel to this 100m² suite. A generous outdoor deck flows easily to offer outdoor relaxation options including large daybed, occasional furniture and hot tub. Guests are spellbound by views of the magnificent mountains soaring above and cool ocean glimpses beyond.
The Catalina Suite is ideal for up to four persons.
Makambo Loft
Inspired by the seafaring days of Lord Howe, this premium mezzanine suite draws mesmerising views of Lord Howe’s postcard twin peaks, Mounts Gower and Lidgbird.
The 160m² suite features a generous upstairs king sleeping area with ensuite powder room, reached by a striking red spiral staircase and is an ideal retreat for two people. Daybeds in the living area below make for a perfect chillout in front of the open fireplace, or can convert on turndown to one or two single beds for additional persons. A contemporary basalt bathroom is located on the lower level.
Generous private decks on both levels with lounging furniture promote quiet contemplation of Lord Howe’s dramatic natural landscape. Fat dairy cows munch contentedly on lush green grass at the mountains’ foot; it’s a world apart.
The Makambo Loft is a superior suite and features a dash of red for fun with Mambo artist Bruce Goold’s soft furnishings and lino cuts, already a Capella design trademark in the main Lodge. Organic artwork by Cardamatis and Saad features bedside. A private deck plunge pool, outdoor shower and cabana style daybed complements the relaxed, fun-spirited sophistication of this luxury retreat.
The Makambo Loft is ideal for up to four persons.
Lidgbird Pavilion
The superlative Lidgbird Pavilion is truly awe-inspiring at 120m² and is a popular choice for a special occasion. A generous upper level bedroom area with ensuite opens to wrap around verandahs capturing panoramic views of ocean and mountains.
Sumptuous ground level living blends seamlessly with the private outdoor lounging area and features banquette lounge perfect to relax with a book, or as a bed for an additional person.
Living is decadent with in and outdoor lounging featuring custom soft furnishings and features include Tomek Campfire Table, Bang & Olufsen television and sound system and complimentary room bar. Artists Cardamatis and Saad use natural botanicals to create rhythmic, textured designs, complimented by distinctive artworks of Bruce Goold. The basalt bathroom boasts dual stone slab vanities, rainshower, extensive timber benches and Capella Spa toiletries.
A refreshing dip in the private plunge pool beckons. Extensive decks surround with daybed, rainshower and luxurious outdoor bathing in the freestanding Lotus bath beneath the frangipani tree. Private drinks and canapés delivered at sunset and a deck dining occasion are perfect options for indulging with a loved one. The Capella electric buggy is reserved for exclusive use.
The Lidgbird Pavilion is ideal for up to three persons.
