Kaikoura

Surrounded by pristine waters and lush greenery, Kaikoura is the perfect location to peacefully observe the prolific marine life. Situated on the South Island of New Zealand, the coastal town offers all year round whale, dolphin and seal watching tours.

Set foot through the town cruising through Kaikoura Museum and the 19th Century Fyffe House for an insight into the local history of Kaikoura and simply enjoy the peaceful ambience at Kaikoura Beach. Try local cuisine exhibiting fresh seafood including crayfish and abalone.

Head under water as you swim with dolphins along Kaikoura coast for an up close and personal experience. Dive or snorkel in the calming waters for a chance to encounter other friendly animals and a new underwater scenery.

With an abundance of wildlife, the best way to explore the area is through hiking. Take a day to Ascend Mt Fyffe and be rewarded with the gorgeous landscapes. Take half a day journeying on the Haumuri Bluff or Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway loop while witnessing seal colonies or for a even shorter hike, explore Puhi Puhi Reserve and Hinau Track.
