Board your cruise at Greenwich, a Royal Borough of London, located on a broad meander of the River Thames south-east of central London. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for its maritime history as well as its connection to the Royal Family. Enjoy a scenic cruise through The Thames River, England’s longest running river – 217 miles to the sea.

Day 2 & 3 – Invergordon (Inverness), Scotland, United Kingdom 

Discover the natural wonders and legends of the sea in this picturesque part of Scotland. Visit the iconic Loch Ness – the home of “Nessie” – The Loch Ness Monster. Discover the quaint Victorian seaside resort of Nairn, and the secrets of the whisky-making process in the area’s many distilleries.

Day 4 –  Copinsay Island, Scotland, UK

Park of the Orkney Islands, located off the east coast of the Orkney Mainland is Copinsay Island. Purchased in the early 70’s by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds as a reserve in memory of the renowned naturalist James Fisher. The islands’ vast seabird colonies include guillemots, kittiwakes, Atlantic puffins and razorbills. More than 1,000 pairs of fulmars nest on Copinsay, while every Autumn, a colony of 2,000 grey seals comes ashore to pup.

Day 4 – Kirkwall, Scotland, United Kingdom

The Orkney Archipelago is a group of barren, treeless islands lying off northern Scotland. The island is awash with tall sandstone cliffs, moss-covered, metamorphic rocks, with ground covered in emerald green low growing shrubs.  The largest town and the capital of Orkney is Kirkwall. The island was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999 due to the ancient remains from the Neolithic period pepper the landscape. Be sure to visit the St Magnus Cathedral, constructed with beautiful red and yellow sandstone, it towers over the rest of the town’s buildings.

Day 5 – Isle Of Noss, Shetland Islands, Scotland, United Kingdom

Spectacular birdlife dots the grass-topped, vertical cliffs, some 500’ (152 m) high that plunge straight into the sea. Noss is home to over 300,000 breeding seabirds and is without a doubt one of the most awe-inspiring wildlife experiences on earth.

Day 5 &6 – Lerwick, Shetland Islands, United Kingdom

Lerwick is a small bustling cosmopolitan seaport and Britain’s most northerly town known for its fine architecture. Discover the island’s many secrets through its exhibits, the boat shed where you can learn some traditional boat building, Shetland Museum, the stone-walled town hall with its intricate stained glass and the towering St. Magnus Cathedral, constructed in 1863 and much more.

Day 6 – Fair Isle, Shetland Islands, Scotland, UK

 

Fair Isle at the southernmost end of the Shetlands is renowned for its knitted wool sweaters is one of the best places in the world to see rare birds, with over British 27 first sightings of species, as well as its own endemic species of wren. A bird observatory was started here in 1945, and it remains a major attraction for tourism.

Djúpivogur is a very small, quaint town of unspoiled nature, with quiet lagoons and a tranquil harbor populated by colorful fishing boats. The area is well-known for the diversity of birdlife, especially in nearby Búlandsnes Bird Sanctuary where most of Iceland’s bird species can be observed. Local arts and crafts are also a big part of the town displayed in workshops and galleries as well as its outdoor installation The Eggs of Merry Bay, ‘Eggin í Gleðivík,’

Day 9 – Heimaey, Westman Islands, Iceland

Heimaey Island is one of the most visually impressive islands in Iceland, it is ringed by tall, vertical sea cliffs many hundreds of feet high. Heimaey is also the home to over eight million Atlantic puffins, more nesting puffins than anywhere else on earth. Heimaey is a lively place with a vibrant culture and over four thousand residents.

Seabourn Venture

Seabourn Venture is scheduled to launch in June 2021, with a second yet-to-be-named sister ship slated to launch in May 2022. Both ships will be designed and built for diverse environments to PC6 Polar Class standards and will include a plethora of modern hardware and technology that will extend the ships global deployment and capabilities. The new ships, which are being built by T. Mariotti, will be a brand new innovative design, created specifically for the ultra-luxury expedition traveler, and will include many features that have made Seabourn ships so successful. Luxury Accommodation

Seabourn Venture features 132 beautifully appointed all veranda suites, including Signature Suites, Owner’s Suite and the two levels Wintergarden Suite. All suites have a personal stewardess, an in- suite bar and built-in heated wardrobe for drying clothes after a day of exploring. The Wintergarden suite is split over two levels, whereas one has a luxury spa bathroom. The two-storey windows allows for expansive ocean views.

Each day, guests will visit this venue for insightful lectures, briefings, and Seabourn Conversations enrichment programming designed to help educate them throughout their expedition experience. The world-class 26-person expedition team of wilderness experts, scientists, historians and naturalists will deliver rich, insightful lectures and discussions on a broad array of topics related to the region where guests are sailing. Inspired by the compelling landscape of some of the expedition destinations, the Discovery Center incorporates the organic shapes of topography maps against the elegant curves of the plush custom seating.

Audio-visual experiences will come to life through high-definition screens 2.5 meters high by 10 meters wide, showing a variety of programming to create a captivating experience that whets the appetite and creates excitement for each destination. Footage from submarine voyages will also be shown, providing an enticing look at the undersea world and the marine life that calls it home.

The Expedition Lounge, located on Deck 4, is the heart of the ship. A gathering place for the curious, guests are invited to relax or linger with a complimentary cocktail or glass of fine wine from the bar as they share photos and stories from the day with their fellow travelers and the onboard staff. The Expedition Lounge will be central to the Seabourn expedition operation where guests convene before and after expeditions each day.

Custom furniture designed in a variety of warm, natural materials creates an inviting, tactile atmosphere. An ode to the adventurous, the Expedition Lounge features an etched glass partition displaying a vintage map of Antarctica and vitrines showcasing intricate tools and devices of the trade. Two large touchscreens will also display a wealth of information including photos, navigational charts, weather charts, and maps.

The Grill by Thomas Keller is a unique culinary concept for Chef Keller, exclusive to Seabourn. Guests setting foot inside the elegant dining room will be treated to table-side preparations of Caesar salad and ice cream sundaes as well as a range of other steakhouse favorites like Lobster Thermidor and creamed spinach, presented à la carte. The timeless menu will draw on the freshest products from artisan purveyors. A cocktail program and wine list of domestic and old-world labels complement the menu.
